B.C Federation of Labour has launched a campaign to up the BC minimum wage to 10$ an hour from the current 8$.

Federation president Jim Sinclair said 8$ an hour is not a living wage(understatement of the year).

Not only that employers can pay first time workers even less than the 8$ min.Under the so called “training” wage, employers only have to pay 6$ for the first 500 hours of work.

Like it takes 500 hours to learn how to flip burgers.

These are not wages, they are slave wages. To expect anyone live to on such a meager income should be consider cruel and unusual punishment.

And all you Liberal supporters out there, who some how believe the Liberals are more respecting of the average worker than the Conservatives. The training wage scam was implemented by the Liberals.

The same Liberals who looted the public purse for their own well being ,while expecting workers to live on slave wages.Like the Conservative Party, the Liberal Party will fight tooth and nail to prevent any increase,in the minimum wage.Like the Conservatives, the Liberals are all about protecting business interests.

Workers are of secondary concern,if they ever matter.

Support,a 10$ minimum wage

The NDP has also been calling for a 10$ minimum wageminwage.gif
