Despite Liberal talk about protecting the rights of Canadian workers.

Their action,are the exact opposite.

Like Conservatives,Liberals are inclined more towards ensuring the needs of business. While at the same time paying little heed to the needs,or basic rights,of working Canadians.

Yet another [Provincial] Liberal government has been found guilty of passing legislation that infringes on inalienable rights of working Canadians …

the right of workers to freedom of association, freedom of expression and freedom from discrimination under both the Canadian and Quebec Charters, and alleging a breach of the right of workers to fair and reasonable working conditions

As in British Columbia (June 8/07),the Supreme Court, has once more struck down Liberal inspired labor legislation….

a Superior Court judge has quashed legislation radically altering the collective bargaining landscape in Quebec’s health care and social services sector by, among other things, forcing the amalgamation of bargaining units and obliging certain key issues to be bargained locally. In the judge’s view, the law violated the guarantee of freedom of association in s.2(d) of the Canadian Charter of Rights, which (the Supreme Court held) includes not only a right to join a union, but also a right to a process of good faith collective bargaining with the employer.

On the Federal front, let no one forget that it was also a Liberal governments, that pushed NAFTA and similar legislation.

Legislation that in most part benefited corporate bottom lines at the expense of Canadian workers, both unionized and non-unionized.

So all in all I suppose,it’s just business as usual for Liberals.

One can only hope the Canadian electorate won’t be deceived by Dion’s Liberals, come next election.

“One can only hope the Canadian electorate won’t be deceived by Dion’s Liberals, come next election.” .. so it’s a Conservative majority you’re looking for? Your only hope at keeping Harper in a minority position is for Canadians (Ontarians in particular) to buy what Dion is selling. Just sayin’ …

Naww actually I am hoping the electorate realize that the Libs and Cons are flip sides of the same coin.
I do not buy into the lesser of two evil arguments.
Perhaps voters might decide to give the NDP a chance.

[...] remember King Gordo’s sustained attacks on the basic rights of working people that ended in a supreme court ruling, then there was the so called training period that let business get around the minimum wage laws. [...]
