Seems the instinct of demonstrators protesting the Montebello Summit were spot on when they identified three “protesters” as being police officer .
The three Surete du Quebec officers were confronted and exposed by legitimate demonstrators.Demonstrators were alerted by the fact one of the police officers was carrying rocks,and seemed bent on instigating trouble so as to give the police an excuse to attack the peaceful demonstrators.
Such tactics are the anti-thesis of democracy.Allegations have been made on numerous occasions that the police have and do go out of their way to provoke peaceful demonstrators.

The Canadian Cynic points out the telling silence on part of the Blogging Tories and other right wingers who ridiculed any suggestion the three were police officers.But then many of the bloggers,that fly the ‘Blogging Tories’ banner,are not known for their logic or rationality.
Mean while the NDP have rightly called for an inquiry into this incident.Some one must be held accountable for even thinking such tactics are acceptable in a democracy.
